I had the opportunity to photograph some of my favorite peeps recently. Here's a sneak peek of my best friend Maria & her gorgeous brood.

A Wonderful Family

One of the best parts of photography is that you get to meet amazing people like the K Family. I've known Dad Eric since he was 2 years old, and a few weeks ago I had the honor of photographing their family. They are going through a tough time now, 5 year old Hayley was diagnosed with neuroblastoma about 5 weeks ago. This amazing family is facing this challenge with grace, dignity & faith that simply blows me away. Candid Art is participating in the International Charity Model Search to select North America’s Cutest Family and to raise funds for the non-profit Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep Foundation. (NILMDTS.org)

Model Search Special:

$30.00 entrance fee includes a 20-minute model session and one image submitted to the national gallery. Although this fee is non-refundable, it is applied toward your package purchase. Special packages are available for families entered into the contest.

Photos must be taken between November 2^nd & March 31^st to be eligible for the contest.

Finalists will be determined by online votes. Each vote is $1 (no limit on the amount of votes you can cast), and all proceeds from votes benefit Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep.

Last year the contest raised over $164,000 for NILMDTS!

Grand prize international winner will be determined from the 52 city finalists. The winners will be selected from the finalist gallery by photography and modeling industry experts. The winning family will also receive a session with the renowned portrait artist Sandy Puc’

In 2009, Candid Art had the 1^st & 3^rd place winners in this region!

A wonderful client of mine had that privilege last year & received a gorgeous wall portrait of her son.

The Curse of a Beautiful Woman

Mothers & Sons

Is there anything more special than the love between a mother & her son? Being the Mother of two grown sons, I know first hand just how wonderful little boys are and how they tug at your heartstrings. I had the privledge of photographing Robyn & Tyler last Sunday & we had a blast. Tyler is precious beyond words and so smart! He has a wonderful spirit & captured my heart very quickly. Here are some of my favorite photos from the session. The bond they share just shines; they made my job so easy. Looking forward to our "Sushi Date" guys! :) Peace, Dottie
